Howells' List commenced on the 1 September 1980 and consisted of the whole of the readers' group from June of that year to which was added the next two readers' groups.

On 1 December 2016, it became a barrister-owned List and employed clerk, Kate Conners.

It has grown and evolved over the years to be a vibrant and skilled group of barristers. We now have 11 silks and over 120 junior barristers made up of senior juniors, middle bar and juniors, covering most areas of practice.

It is our aim to provide a service of the highest standard and to continue to develop the List to its utmost potential.
